Our Approach to Learning

We believe education must do more than transfer knowledge. It must support the entire journey of the health professional and the communities they serve. Our work is informed by the Education for Life model, comprising three pillars.

1

LEARNING THROUGHOUT LIFE

Education shouldn’t end at graduation. The health field changes too fast for that. We build expert-reviewed resources and learning experiences to support continuous lifelong learning at every stage.

2

LEARNING TO PROMOTE AND RESTORE HEALTHY LIVES

The core of our work is service. This pillar focuses on developing the practical skills, knowledge, and compassion needed to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities.

3

LEARNING TO LIVE ONE'S OWN LIFE

You can’t pour from an empty cup. This pillar focuses on supporting holistic personal well-being, building resilience, preventing burnout, and advocating for work environments that support everyone’s health.

Guiding Principles

We ground our work in the lived experience of learners, educators and communities, co-creating solutions that respond to their needs.

Key Initiatives

1

Community of Practice

A global, virtual community for students, educators, professionals, and institutions to share insights, co-create context-relevant solutions, and engage in professional development, service-learning, and funding opportunities.

2

Digital Resource Library

A dynamic collection of curated and co-created tools, templates, and guides that support teaching, learning, and administration in health professions education, aligned with local, regional and global quality standards and stakeholder needs.

3

Partnership Network

A growing alliance of institutions, associations, and organizations working together to co-develop scalable, context-sensitive solutions and strengthen health professions education through shared expertise and collective action.
